HL’s very own web site? Is that necessary?

No, not really. But you’re here, aren’t you?

So what can I expect to find here throughout the season?

This site handles all the nerdy stats associated with the league. In here you’ll find all sorts of measures by which you can brag to fellow competitors that you’re beating them. You’ll also find the odd gameweek writeup (though we’ve been proven in the past to be a little irregular with these) and also any public announcements for the league. I’ll endeavor to update the site as soon as possible after each gameweeks finishes.

How often will you update the stats?

This year most of the stats will be automatically fed from databases of info. (Yes, I’m more of a nerd than I was last season.) So after the gameweek finishes I’ll just need to push a few buttons and the stats will be automatically updated to the database. Hopefully the stats will be pretty much realtime. I’ll be trying to update mid-gameweek as well, but don’t hold me to that one.

I’ve got an idea for the website / new stats I’d like added to the page. Wanna hear about it?

Great! Just fill in form 14B in sub-section D and get three people to verify the information for me. Alternatively, email me and I’ll see what I can do.

    Why is the sky blue?

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air. However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. Straightforward enough? No? Then go ask your father.

I have a question that wasn’t in the FAQ. Can you answer it?

Sure. Just shoot me an email and I’ll do my best.
